What a booking is depends on your business category. Restaurants reserve capacity for a party. Service businesses offer duration-based appointments. Ticket businesses sell dated or open tickets. Accommodation businesses use per-night stay availability. The capability description for your selected business is the authority on which model applies to you.
What you can set
Ask the owner chat to show your current booking configuration at any time. From there you can:
- Switch new requests between automatic handling and manual confirmation.
- Set the reminder lead time, or turn reminders off.
- Provide the settings your category uses — capacity, slots, durations, or accommodation availability.
- List and manage the bookings you already have.
These changes must come from an owner-connected identity. They cannot be made from a product support conversation.
Automatic or manual
In automatic mode the booking engine checks your current capacity and answers on the spot. If the requested time does not fit, it can propose a nearby alternative rather than simply refusing.
In manual mode a request stays pending until you accept or decline it, and the customer is told it is pending. Nothing is promised in your name until you have said yes.
When a booking will not go through
Work down this list — it is ordered by how often each one turns out to be the cause:
- The intended business is the one currently selected.
- The place and the channel are both enabled.
- The booking capability for your category is present.
- Your opening hours are on record.
- The required booking configuration exists.
